Management for The Rivoli Theatre & Pizzeria is taking the threat of COVID-19 seriously with new policy and procedures, following guidance from the CDC, La Crosse Health Department, and Wisconsin Health Department.  We must treat every person entering the facility as through they may have already been exposed.

A greeter will be stationed at the entryway to direct customers and control the flow of foot traffic, maintaining mandatory six-foot social distancing between patrons.  Everyone will be required to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at all times, unless seated in the theatre. If you do not have your face covered upon entry, you may purchase a disposable mask at the door for one dollar. The mask policy will be enforced with no exceptions and zero tolerance.

Additional staff will be on hand to fulfill necessary roles and all employees have been retrained for proper use of PPE, hand hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting with EPA-approved chemicals.  All areas of the building will be disinfected each day before we are open, between every show, and at closing time. Countertops and interactive equipment such as credit card readers will be sanitized after each use.  We have installed new air filters in every unit and carpets have been professionally cleaned.  Goods or cash will not be passed hand-to-hand.  Instead, the clean counter space will be used for all exchanges.  Customers are encouraged to use touch-free/contactless payment methods if possible.  Signage promoting good hygiene is placed throughout the building and hand sanitizer is available at several locations.  All food will be served in single-use disposable containers with disposable utensils.  In-house food delivery has been rerouted for pickup by customers in a separate area from the ticket and concessions queue.  Our patrons are encouraged to call ahead with orders for the pizzeria in an effort to minimize interactions and coordinate timely delivery before their movie begins.  There will be a limited number of food orders accepted on a first-ordered, first-served basis at designated pick-up times.


Celebrating 100 years of the historic Rivoli Theatre, we ask for your cooperation and patience in our efforts to provide a safe environment for movie-goers and pizza fans to enjoy.
