Job Title: Front of House
Reports To: Shift Leads and General Manager
Status: Part Time
Purpose of Position: The Front of House position at the Rivoli Theatre and Pizzeria is part-time (10-29 hours weekly) and works on all aspects of the customer experience at the theater. Front of House is primarily responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our guests. FOH are also responsible for selling the cinema’s membership, tickets, concessions (including alcohol and hot food), and gift cards. FOH will be responsible for making our guests feel welcome and part of our community.
Responsibilities:
- Present self as a professional and well-groomed
- Greet customers and know current cinema programs to provide helpful service
- Handle all box office, concessions, and bar cash accurately and securely
- Organize, stock, restock, clean, and organize concessions, box office, bar, lobby, and theatres
- Prepare and serve concessions items while keeping in line with health code
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of cinema restrooms and auditorium before and after every film screening and conduct regular checks
- Report accidents, incidents, or problems during a shift to the supervisor
- Answer questions about cinema history, programming, and other items related to the cinema
- Have detailed familiarity with cinema membership levels and their benefits (TBD)
- Perform daily and nightly cleaning of concessions, kitchen, box office, and lobby following opening and closing procedures
- Clean the auditorium of all food and drink debris after the final screening and throw out all garbage
- Maintain regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts to ensure timely performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16 years of age.
- Must have an up to date servers license within 30 days of start date
- Exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure success of the cinema.
- Strong work ethic, sense of humor, and commitment to the Rivoli Theatre mission.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands of this position require walking, sitting, stooping, reaching, and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits:

Job Title: Shift Lead
Reports To: General Manager
Status: Hourly
Job Description:
The Rivoli Shift Lead facilitates all aspects of the customer experience at the theater. The Shift Lead will work with the other front of house supervisors, as well as other department heads, to oversee daily theater operations
and will ensure great customer service. The Lead should have exceptional hospitality and management skills, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy being part of a team working with the public in a community-supported
arts environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily guest services related to ticketing, food and beverage, and membership
- Have regular communication with front of house staff to keep all information conveyed and up to date
- Oversee cash handling and make nightly deposits
- Initiate, encourage, and maintain internal and cross-departmental communication
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Minimum 2 years experience in management of customer-facing staff or equivalent management experience.
- Must have an up to date servers license.
- Exemplary customer service and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a diplomatic leader and motivate others.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure success of the cinema.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfort with some public speaking preferred.
- Proficiency with technology, including working knowledge of POS systems.
- Strong work ethic, sense of humor, and commitment to the Rivoli Theatre mission.
